Description
What makes me a great carer is my passion for helping people to be able to have a life they desire against all odds. I enjoy meeting people and learning how everyone is different and diverse in their various ways. In my role as a carer I am able to use my learning and training to provide person centred care. I enjoy watching my service users go from a hospital bed to moving freely around their home environment. As a carer I am party to various ailments, and medical conditions which require me to be knowledgeable about how to assist the service user with dignity. I engage, understand a assimilate all trainings and I am able to use them to provide the best possible care for all service users.
I strive to make my clients feel as comfortable with me as possible, offering them choice as a priority in their care, keeping them as safe as possible and making sure I am assessing their needs daily and updating records accordingly. I also enjoy liaising with families and friends of service users to enable me understand the clients also.
I look forward to providing all types of care, one to one overnight, and long hour care, and continue to provide the kind of care that offers a personal centred approach, and promotes independent living, whilst using all the training, learning and techniques such as manual handling, to ensure smooth mobility for non mobile clients.
